Cointrivio is operated by Trivet Labs (RC 3164913), a company registered in Nigeria. In these terms "we" and "us" mean that company, and "you" means the person using the app.
By creating an account you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use Cointrivio.
You must be at least 18 years old and resident in Nigeria, with a Nigerian bank account in your own name. One person may hold one account. Accounts are personal to you and may not be sold, shared or transferred.
You must give accurate information when you register and keep it up to date. We may suspend an account where the details do not appear to be genuine.
Before we pay money out we need to know who we are paying. You will be asked for a valid government issued identity document, which may be your National Identification Number, international passport, driver's licence or voter's card, and for bank details in your own name.
Where a withdrawal is large, where an account has been quiet for a long time, or where something about the account does not look right, we may also ask for a live photograph or short video to confirm you are the person on the document, and for an explanation of where the money you paid in came from.
If you will not complete verification we will not pay out, and we may close the account. What we do with identity documents is set out in our privacy policy, and why we ask at all is set out in our AML and fraud control policy.
Tickets let you enter rounds. They are bought with money through our payment provider and are not refundable once bought, except where the law requires it or where a payment failed and no tickets were delivered.
Tickets have no value outside Cointrivio. They cannot be exchanged for money, transferred to another player, or converted back into naira.
Coins are earned by answering correctly and by winning contests. Coins are not money and have no value until they are withdrawn under these terms.
You may request a withdrawal once your coin balance is worth at least the minimum shown in your wallet. We convert coins to naira at the rate shown in the app at the time of the request. That rate may change, and a change does not alter withdrawals already paid.
Tickets you buy are meant to be played. Cointrivio is a game, not a wallet, a savings product or a way to move money. Where an account buys tickets and then asks to withdraw without having played them, we will refuse the withdrawal until those tickets have been used. Coins won in ordinary play are not affected by this.
The bank account must be yours. It must be in the same name as the account holder we have verified. We do not pay a third party and we do not accept payment from one. A bank account already linked to another Cointrivio account will be refused.
Withdrawals are reviewed by a person before payment. We may hold, question or refuse a withdrawal where we reasonably believe an account has broken these terms, where the bank details do not match the account holder, or where we are required to by law. Contest prizes are held for a short period, shown in the app, before they may be withdrawn.
Contests are skill-based. Entry costs the number of tickets shown on the contest. The prize, the number of winners and how the prize is divided are shown before you enter and do not change once a contest has begun.
Where players finish on the same score, the prizes for the places they occupy are added together and shared equally between them.
We may cancel a contest before it starts, in which case entry tickets are returned. If a contest cannot be completed for technical reasons, we will either return entry tickets or settle it on the scores recorded, whichever is fairer to the players who took part.
Answers are marked and timed on our servers. You may not use software, automation or any other method to answer questions other than by playing them yourself, hold more than one account, or take part in any arrangement to share answers.
Where we find that an account has done any of these, we may reverse coins earned that way, refuse withdrawals, suspend the account or close it. Where money has already been paid out on the strength of it, we may seek to recover it.
Software has faults. If a fault credits you with coins, tickets or a prize you did not win, we may reverse it, and we will tell you when we do.
If you have already withdrawn the value of an incorrect credit, your balance may go below zero. You agree that the shortfall is owed to us, and that we may recover it from later winnings or as a debt.
If you notice your balance is wrong in your favour, tell us and stop using the feature that caused it. Playing on it, or hurrying a withdrawal through, is not a lucky break and we will treat it as taking money that is not yours. Our server records are what we rely on to establish what happened.
We try to keep questions accurate, but some will be wrong or unclear. If you believe a question was marked incorrectly, report it from the round. We may correct a question, but we do not normally re-score rounds that have already finished.
Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account until you tell us it has been used by someone else.
You may close your account at any time from the app. Closing an account does not entitle you to a refund of tickets, and coins that have not reached the minimum withdrawal are lost when it closes.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently, or where we are required to by law. Where we do so and you hold coins earned honestly, we will pay out what is properly due to you.
Cointrivio is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available or free of faults. We may change, suspend or stop any part of it. Where a fault costs you tickets or a round, tell us and we will put it right.
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for anything caused by your own breach of these terms.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited under Nigerian law.
We may change these terms. Where a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Cointrivio after that means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the Nigerian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
Cointrivio is not associated with, sponsored or endorsed by Apple or Google. They have no responsibility for the app or for any contest run on it.
